USCG LICENSED MARITIME PROFESSIONALS
Our Salty Dog Day Sails Crew is led by US Coast Guard licensed captains with more than 20+ years of local chartering experience. We have unsurpassed knowledge of the local waters and are ably assisted by enthusiastic mates who are equally eager to show you a good time. Captains and crew are all appropriately trained and licensed adhering to US Coast Guard and International Maritime Organization standards.
We are also a team of committed stewards for the preservation and conservancy of the underwater natural resources and aquatic life. We are official partners with the US Virgin Islands National Park who issues us annual commercial permits to operate in the Park. We love sharing our knowledge of the marine world, boating, sailing, historical & geographical insights and local lore with you.

Meet Your Salty Crew
CAP’N KELLY
Captain Kelly is a former organizational psychologist and taught at Temple University before trading her high heels in for flip flops more than 20 years ago. Get SALTY with the BEST female Cap’n in the Caribbean!
CAP’N STEPHEN
Captain Stephen left Texas in 1988 aboard a 24’ boat with nothing but a compass & depth sounder and sailed solo to Nova Scotia and then the islands hitting all points in between. Playing guitar, catching fish and charming souls with his passion for life & marine biology.
CAP’N MARK
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! First Mate Mark is now CAPTAIN MARK! He hails from Oklahoma, but sails every weekend for years and boats with our crew seasonally for more than a decade! Super proud of Mark for jumping up to CAPTAIN status!
CAP’N CONNIE
Captain Connie is about as sweet as a Georgia Peach—unless you don’t support WAR EAGLE, then it’s all guns a’blazin’ fun! Connie sails our catamarans during the winter months and hosts Boy Scout troops over the summer months to ensure that today’s youth may access team-building and life-changing experiences on-the-water. She has been cruising and living aboard a sailboat since 2008 with her husband Bruce (also a captain whom we work with and equally delightful) who affectionately considers her the Captain of their boat—there can only be one at a time! LOL
CAP’N BRUCE
Captain Bruce is the other half of the Connie & Bruce team who normally captain our term charters aboard catamaran LUCKY DOG. Bruce is a guitar-player and harmonizing singer of duets with his lovely bride Connie. He’s been sailing and making music for decades.
CAP’N JUSTIN
Captain Justin is a friend and sailing colleague for 20 years, Justin is the most laid back Cap’n of our SALTY crew. Diving & snorkeling enthusiast, Justin is happy to share his love of the ocean with you on a trip.

SWASHBUCKLING CANINE CREW PIRATE NEMO
PiRATe Nemo is a Hurricane Irma rescue—just like us! This 8lb RAT terrier mix is the perfect addition to our swashbuckling crew. Nemo even walks with a pirate limp, but that doesn’t really slow him down. Nemo was hit by a car as a stray during Irma and put in a shelter to die until being scooped up in the final hours by an amazing rescue organization that gave him the second-chance at life orthopedic surgeries. With major rehab in progress we found him and underwent FBI clearance-like checks to be able to adopt him as the new SALTY crew leader. Come meet and sail with NEMO! Nemo has his own Instagram account. Follow his adventures on Instagram at:
